Step 13

Looking at Where Your Time Is Going

By sophomore year, life can start feeling crowded.

Classes, activities, friendships, responsibilities, downtime, and screens all compete for your attention at the same time.

Sometimes weeks move so quickly that you stop noticing where most of your energy is actually going.

This step is about looking at that more honestly.

Core Idea

Your time usually reveals your priorities before your words do.

Your One Action

Start your Where My Energy Goes tracker.

Write down the three activities or commitments taking up most of your time right now.

Examples:

  • sports

  • clubs

  • gaming

  • work

  • creative hobbies

  • family responsibilities

  • friendships

  • social media

  • studying

Then circle: “The one that currently feels most meaningful is ______.”

Optional prompt: “The thing I spend the most time on is/is not the thing that feels most important because ______.”

Where My Energy Goes

Optional Prompt Answer
