Step 1
What Senior Year Is Actually About
Senior year can start feeling intense before anything has even happened.
People talk about applications, deadlines, essays, scholarships, decisions.
Suddenly it sounds like every choice matters immediately.
That pressure can make students feel like they need to reinvent themselves fast.
Most don't.
Core Idea
Senior year is not about becoming a different person. It is about finishing what you already started.
Your One Action
Open your College Process Hub. If you completed the Junior Year steps, you may already have an Application Snapshot there. If not, create the Hub now.
Add three sections:
Applications
Essays
Deadlines
Leave space under each.
You do not need a perfect system yet. You just need one place to keep track of everything.
If you created an Experiences Inventory during junior year, keep it nearby as you build your College Process Hub.
If you did not create one, spend 5 minutes listing activities, responsibilities, work, leadership, volunteering, or experiences you may want to reference later.
Optional prompt: “The part of senior year already taking up the most mental space is ______.”
