Leaving Things Better Than You Found Them
As senior year ends, it is easy to focus only on what you are leaving.
But endings are also a chance to think about what you leave behind.
You may not be able to transform a team, club, class, job, or friendship group completely.
But you can usually do one small thing that makes the transition easier for someone else.

Leadership often shows up most clearly at the end.

Choose one place where you have had some responsibility this year.
Examples:
a team
a club
a class
a job
a volunteer role
a family responsibility
a group project
Then write:
one thing that would help someone else after you leave
one small action you could take before the year ends
Examples:
explain how something works
organize materials
thank someone
encourage a younger student
pass along advice
finish a task clearly
leave notes for the next person
Then complete: “One way I can leave this better than I found it is ______.”
