Step 11

Noticing Your Academic Patterns

By this point in the year, certain patterns start repeating.

Maybe you handle some classes steadily while others always seem to become stressful.

Maybe you work well early in the week and lose focus later on.

Patterns matter because they usually point to habits, routines, or timing - not just ability.

Core Idea

You can improve patterns more easily once you notice them clearly.

Your One Action

Start your Academic Pattern Tracker.

Think about the past few weeks. Write:

  • one academic habit helping you

  • one academic habit making things harder

Then complete: “One small adjustment I want to test this week is ______.”

Examples:

  • starting work earlier

  • reviewing notes consistently

  • studying without distractions

  • organizing assignments sooner

  • sleeping more consistently
