Step 29

Planning Summer With Intention

As summer approaches, students often swing between two extremes: trying to optimize every second or avoiding planning altogether.

Neither usually works very well.

A good summer does not need to look impressive from the outside.

It just needs some balance.

Core Idea

A balanced summer usually matters more than a "perfect" one.

Your One Action

Start your Summer Balance Map — Junior Edition.

Write one realistic idea for each category:

  1. Rest

  2. Responsibility

  3. Growth or Exploration

Examples:

  • sleep more consistently

  • work or volunteer

  • visit a college

  • prepare for applications

  • reconnect socially

  • explore an interest

  • build a skill

Then circle: “The category I probably need most right now is ______.”
