DC2 Insight Plus Student Assessment

Insight Plus is a longer view for understanding how a student’s patterns are shifting over time.
 
As students move through new demands, expectations, or levels of independence, the same underlying dynamics can show up differently. Insight Plus builds on the original Insight by helping families understand what has stayed consistent, what has changed, and where new friction may be emerging.
 
Rather than evaluating performance or predicting outcomes, Insight Plus interprets patterns in motivation, stress, learning, and follow-through using the student’s own responses at a later point in time. It provides updated companion reports — one written for the student and one for caregivers — so understanding stays aligned as circumstances change.
 
Insight Plus is designed to support recalibration, not pressure. It does not ask students to “do better” or families to escalate support. It offers clarity that helps next steps stay realistic, timely, and well-matched to the student’s current phase.

What Insight Plus Is Not
Insight Plus is not a progress report, growth measure, or comparison between “before” and “after.” It does not measure improvement, assign scores, or predict outcomes. Insight Plus exists to support alignment as patterns evolve, not to judge change.
 
How to Use Insight Plus Well
Insight Plus works best when:
The student reads their updated report first, privately
Parents read their updated report separately
Conversations focus on what is different now, not what “should” be different
 
These reports are intended to be read separately before being discussed together. The goal is recalibration, not accountability.

DC2 Insight Plus is designed to support understanding and conversation over time.
It does not replace academic advising, counseling, or professional judgment. Families are encouraged to use Insight Plus alongside existing supports, especially during periods of transition or increased independence.
