Step 11

Paying Attention to Your Academic Patterns

At this point in the year, some habits are probably becoming predictable.

Certain routines help you feel calmer and more prepared.

Others create stress repeatedly.

The important thing is not whether a habit is "good" or "bad."

It is whether it consistently moves your life in a direction you actually want.

Core Idea

Repeated habits shape your school experience more than isolated moments.

Your One Action

Start your Academic Patterns Log.

Write:

  • one academic habit that consistently helps you

  • one academic habit that consistently      creates stress

Then complete: “A small adjustment I want to test this week is ______.”

Examples:

  • reviewing notes regularly

  • starting work earlier

  • checking assignments daily

  • studying with fewer distractions

  • sleeping more consistently

  • avoiding late-night work

Optional prompt: “This habit affects my stress because ______.”
